A member of our team places each duck the first time. After that, finders decide where to keep, pass on, or re-hide it. We have no control over those choices or the locations they report.

Follow the ship’s or venue’s rules and staff instructions; some places do not allow hidden objects. Keep away from safety equipment, exits, and restricted areas. Never climb or reach over railings, and supervise children. If unsure, ask crew or staff first.

The map shows reported towns and ports, not live locations or exact hiding spots. Reports may be wrong or out of date. A published find does not mean the duck is still there or that the location is safe or approved.

You need a connection for your first visit. If you already loaded the find form, you can save a find on that device while offline. Reopen the site when connected to send it. If the page won’t open, photograph the code and note the date and port, then check in later.

Finds from guests and new accounts are reviewed before appearing. A suggested first name is also reviewed; it is not reserved while offline. Photos have a separate approval step. Your duck’s animation is made separately, so it may arrive later.

Use a nickname. Leave out cabin numbers, home addresses, boarding passes, and identifying details or photos of children. Check photo backgrounds too: removing GPS data does not hide what is visible in a picture. Get permission from other people before sharing their photo.

Share only family-friendly photos you have the right to post, and check for private details before uploading. We do not retouch photos or remove compliant photos simply on request. We may remove photos that break our rules, contain illegal or unsafe material, or must be removed by law—even after approval.
